Barker & Broski

In this episode, we talk with Chris and Mike from Barker and Broski. They are a singer-songwriter duo who create serious music which is all about fun. Their latest album called “The Coal Country Heartbreakers” is the third in a series that tells the story of a fictional character called Billy Bob. In addition to their music, Barker and Broski host a podcast called “Making It SMALL in Music”. They are using their podcast to highlight the hidden talents in Michigan music by talking with artists who are making great music, but are probably not on everyone’s radar (and perhaps should be).

Cosmic Sans

In this episode, we talk with Jeremy, Steven, Chris, and Allen from Cosmic Sans. Their new album called As Well is fantastic. When listening to their music I’m reminded of bands like the Foo Fighters, Screaming Trees, Local H, and The Toadies with a dab of Queens Of The Stone Age. It was great to get the stories of how the band came together as well as their influences and approach to songwriting. The new year promises to see Cosmic Sans playing out, so be sure to keep tabs on their Facebook page for locations and dates.

Tony Muggs - Autobiograffitti

In this episode, we talk with Tony Muggs (from The Muggs and Dude) about his new book called AUTOBIOGRAFFITT. This is Tony’s first book and as the name implies, it is his story. If you aren’t familiar, Tony overcame a massive stroke which impaired his left side forcing him to relearn everything and learn to play bass on Fender Rhodes keyboard. His is a true story of inspiration. Tony’s book is out now on Amazon. You can also get a copy and hear readings from the book on December 20th at the Cadieux Cafe in Detroit. Convulsis

In this episode, we talk with Jimmy, Adam, Bubba, Garret, and Davy from Convulsis. I’m so very thankful to Jimmy for hooking me up with the debut EP from Convulsis called An Evil Born From the Void. This band plays intense thrash metal full of hammering rhythms and riffs galore. It was a ton of fun to talk with these guys about their origin and their plans for new music.
